What you'll need
Materials
For this workshop, you'll need:
- A copy of the Origin Stories template
- Optional: allow team members to select a superhero avatar/image/gif to add to their story
Templates
Each team member will need to complete their own slide from this Origin Stories template deck.
Facilitator Notes
This workshop does not require facilitator notes.
Step-by-Step
- Make a copy of the template
- Share this with your team in advance so they can complete their Origin Stories slide before the experience. Each team member can add their story directly to the template, or make a copy of the slide so their answers stay secret until the experience.
- For added flair, suggest each team member to find an image, gif, or icon of a superhero to represent themselves and bring that to the workshop or add it to their slide!
Let your team know you'd like to take some time to get to know each other better by sharing stories about what shaped us. Try building some anticipation by introducing the experience with the question: "if you were a superhero, who would you be and why?"
- If your team is large, we suggest using breakout rooms to create smaller groups to share your stories.
- Pin your completed Origin Stories deck to your team's Slack channel so everyone can take a look at any time!
- Collect all completed Stories if they were not already added to the master deck, and share this with your team.
- Consider a follow-up activity such as Working With Me or creating a Team Agreement to continue building on the conversation.
