- Discuss our ideal working environment and shape our team's future way of working.
- Create a team agreement for how we want to interact based on the 4 C's of Collaboration, Communication, Coordination and Care.
Description
In a hybrid environment, it's important to take time to understand how your team is thinking and feeling about your current working model, and use those insights to start a dialogue about how you'd like to work moving forward. Using this interactive template, guide your team through a series of playfully designed activities to dig into important questions about collaboration, communication, and current challenges. You'll work towards developing a team agreement while building stronger interpersonal relationships and increasing psychological safety.

Templates
This workshop takes place entirely on Lucid. Make sure to duplicate this template for you and your team.
You must fist make your own copy of the template by hovering over the document name and selecting "duplicate".
Facilitator Notes
This workshop includes facilitator notes which provide guidance for each activity. Facilitator notes will provide guidance on time, debrief questions for each activity, and tips for guiding the experience. They are not a script - we encourage you to lead the experience with your own personal flair and style!
Step-by-Step
- Familiarise yourself with each activity in the template.
- Ask your team in advance of the experience to choose a photo which depicts their secret passion/hobby/something about themselves little known to the team to bring to the experience.
- Review the tools in Lucid to ensure you are comfortable navigating the board. We recommend using the facilitator feature. You must first create your own copy of the template by hovering over the document name and selecting "duplicate".
This workshop is designed to create a platform for discussion about current challenges, and how we want to work better as a team. Some activities require a level of psychological safety. Be sure your team is comfortable discussing challenges and differences, and is open to questioning current team operating models.
- Use the 'make me facilitator' feature in Lucid to access extra functions and moderate the experience easily. It is advisable to turn off the 'locking objects' function for participants.
- Show this video at the start of your experience to introduce everyone to the functions of Lucidspark.
- As facilitator, share your screen (or use 'take the lead' in the facilitator functions) whenever you move to a new section to ensure participants know where to navigate to. Stop sharing during each activity.
- Encourage participants to turn off the 'show cursors' function, which will allow more anonymous comments if preferred.
- Use the Facilitator Notes to debrief activities and keep the conversation flowing.
- Keep a stopwatch handy to track the time - if conversation is good, you might want to consider breaking up the workshop into two experiences.
This workshop ends in the drafting of a team charter. Be sure your team has agreed on how you want to follow up on the commitments made.
- Refer back to your board after a few months to see if you are fulfilling your commitments and discuss any changes needed.
- Use Slack prompts to send friendly reminders in the team chat of individual commitments under each of the 4 Cs.
- Start team meetings by doing a 'gremlin check'.
