Upward Feedback survey
Also referred to as UFS, the Upward Feedback Survey is a survey that HubSpotters complete to provide feedback for their managers. The goal is to provide clarity (of manager strengths and growth opportunities) and put managers in the driver's seat of their own growth and development.
The UFS helps close the gap between “how I see myself” and “how others see me.” Do note that this is not a performance review. It is a growth tool.

Upward Feedback Surveys for UX
Grace and Meghan have initiated a Rapid Work Analysis (RWA) for the User Experience (UX) team.
This initiative is a part of the larger 5 Moments of Need (5MoN) framework for developing effective training and enablement for sustaining effective on-the-job performance of employees and teams. This work will enable us to map the workflow of high performers in UX to identify the tasks, supporting knowledge and resources they use each day. The outcomes of this analysis will help drive the future of both the Product Foundations and segment-specific training like UX Foundations.

CareerCast
What is CareerCast?
CareerCast is an internal library of role profiles at HubSpot. This resource can be used by HubSpotters to learn more about potential roles of interest, even if there isn't currently a posting in Greenhouse. This is important because it gives HubSpotters a chance to research roles, map a development plan and get prepared in advance of a role posting. It can also be used by Hiring Managers to direct requests for information on currently open roles to a single source of information which can be shared widely among all internal applicants.

Why is this resource needed?
- Better internal mobility experience - We have data to suggest that some HubSpotters apply for roles without fully understanding the role or knowing whether it's a potential fit for them. "If I don't apply right away, I may miss the opportunity to find out more!" is the sentiment we've heard. This leads to an increase in unqualified candidate applications and a poor internal mobility experience for the HubSpotter.
- More equitable experience - While some HubSpotters may feel comfortable requesting a coffee chat with a Hiring Manager, others may not, which can lead to inequity in the process.
Scalable - As we scale, coffee chats can be a time sink for a busy hiring manager. This resource allows the hiring manager to be very thoughtful and intentional about what they choose to share about the role, their team, further reading recommendations and their ideal candidate. They submit a profile, (optionally) record a friendly video and can direct interested HubSpotters to this resource instead of navigating coffee chats. It's a time saver!
The key to making this a successful, usable resource for HubSpotters is to ensure that it's filled with useful information. To this end, we will soft launch to hiring managers first, asking them to submit evergreen roles to be included on the platform. Shannon will be posting lazy copy and links that can be shared with leaders in the ld-team slack channel in the next week or two as soon as we are ready for the soft launch. Keep an eye out and be sure to share with your hiring manager stakeholders once we go live!
