Frequently Asked Questions

What do I do if I'm late?
If you encounter traffic or delays on public transportation, please email APACfirstday@hubspot.com We know that commute times can be unpredictable, especially if you are taking a new mode of transportation or are new to or visiting Singapore for the first time. We recommend carving out a bit of extra time for your first day and enjoying this playlist our People Operations Team put together to help ease your first day jitters and get you excited for Orientation Day!
Where do I park?
The rates for single entry cars or motorcycles are:
  • Mon - Fri (7am - 6pm): $2.50 per half hour or part thereof
  • Mon - Fri (6pm - 12am): $3.50 per entry
For seasonal or monthly parking passes, please reach out to HR for more information.

For those riding motorcycles, park at Tanjong Pagar Market multi-story carpark. It's being managed by the HDB government board so the rates are cheaper. Season parking for motorcycles are at $17/month. It's a 5-8mins walk to Mapletree Anson. You can apply here.
What do I have to do before my first day?

Make sure to have uploaded your Work Authorization document(s) in Workday. If you have any questions, please contact our Benefits Team (benefits@hubspot.com).

Otherwise: We've shared some resources on this landing page for you to take a look through and recommend checking out our HubSpotLife Instagram account to get a better idea of what being a HubSpotter is actually all about.

Your first day is focused on helping you understand HubSpot's mission and vision, bringing to life our culture now that you're an employee, and giving you a high-level overview of our platform. No need for lots of research ahead of time, we've worked hard to curate an inspiring first day that answers most of the questions you might have! It is certainly a full day, so make sure to get a good sleep the night before.

How long do I have to stay for my first day?
Our programming generally lasts from 9am - 6pm. If you need flexibility, we are happy to accommodate. Please reach out to APACfirstday@hubspot.com to coordinate.
What do I wear?

HubSpot doesn't have a "dress code." We want our employees to feel comfortable expressing themselves and wearing what they feel allows them to do their best work. We know that as new hire, this can be hard to interpret, so we've created this Pinterest board for inspiration. As you'll be taking your official HubSpot headshot on your Orientation Day, we suggest wearing something you'll be happy to be photographed in.

Also, feel free to bring along an extra cardigan or sweater.  The office occasionally gets cold.

What do I bring?
You don't need to bring anything other than yourself, an ID, and a bag to transport your HubSpot laptop and swag home with you. We also recommend bringing an extra cardigan or sweater, as the office occasionally gets cold.
What happens after my first day?

Your first month at HubSpot

You'll undergo a series of training programs starting with "HubSpot Foundations". During your first two weeks, you'll learn the value of HubSpot's products, gain exposure to leadership and different teams, and get to know the customers we serve.

You'll move on to your function-specific training--Sales, Customer Success, or Support Foundations--for two more weeks, where you'll learn how we Attract, Engage, and Delight customers wherever they are in their journey with us. For Sydney and Tokyo HubSpotters, your training will continue remotely via zoom.Foundations VIsualization v4

Upon completion of HubSpot Foundations and Functional Foundations, you're expected to hit the ground running with guidance from your Manager and team as you ramp in your role. Your schedule will already be pre-loaded in your calendar during your first day so you'll always know what sessions to attend and self-paced work to complete.

If you're not in a customer-facing role, you will still go through the first three days of HubSpot Foundations. The duration may be modified depending on your Manager's preference.

Starting "off-cycle"

New HubSpotters are scheduled to start Foundations at the beginning of every month. In case you're joining us "off-cycle" (in other words, outside of the usual schedule), your Manager will arrange a customized onboarding schedule for you. Thereafter, you will join the next earliest Foundations class.

When can I start receiving benefits?
You are eligible for benefits as of your first day of employment. If you have any questions on benefits, you can reach out to benefits@hubspot.com before you start and we would be happy to set up a phone call with you to talk about different options. Other than that, you can expect to go through a benefits session within your first week of work as well, where we will give you some more information on benefits.
